Long story short: I started this blog as I attempted to learn Russian from scratch, I then moved to Germany and decided it was time to put learning Russian on a back burner to concentrate on improving my German again. During that time I realised that a lot of advice for either focused on language apps or self-study with a pile of grammar and vocabulary books. Whilst that can be helpful, it’s also not sustainable and can leave you feeling disengaged.

So instead, I decided to use my own experiences of language learning to offer different advice. You don’t have to delete the apps or throw out the books, just get creative!

I hope you find this blog useful, and if you want to keep up to date with all my latest tips and tricks, make sure to follow the blog – all you need is an email address.
